If I Had Only Known

by Aug 18, 2022

I have had the privilege of serving Georgia Churches for almost forty years now, and as lead pastor for thirty-three of those years. During my time serving in this great state, and even in previous ministry years in Kentucky, I have seen many efforts at discipleship come and go. Some were good, others were better, but in all my years, I have not found a more biblical, practical, and effective disciple-making process than the Impact Discipleship Ministries of which I am now privileged to be a part. God used Pastor Ken Adams to develop Impact Disciples Ministries years ago, and this ministry has proven extremely effective at Crossroads Church, the church he pastors, as well as many other churches around the world.

In fact, I am so very excited to be a part of the Impact Discipleship team because I am confident that God is using this ministry to change lives. Like you, I have always known that God’s call to the Church and to pastors and leaders is to be and build disciples. Honestly, I don’t know any pastors who do not believe this truth and strive to be effective in making disciples that make disciples. Impact Discipleship curriculum can help pastors/leaders fulfill that passionate desire.

It is with this in mind that I write this blog.Knowing that a pastor/leader should only lead by following Jesus, we all want to fulfill our calling from God. So why not do it the way Jesus did?  Wonderfully, the strategy for which we have been searching has been here all along; right there in the New Testament. Pastor Ken has been able to take what God has given and put it in a format that enables us to be disciple-making pastors who lead disciple-making churches. It works! It was modeled by Jesus. It has been tested at Crossroads, proving incredibly effective, and it is available to you.

Because I love pastors, and because I know we are filled with desire and passion to accomplish God’s purposes, I want to encourage, no, implore you to investigate the Impact Discipleship materials. You can find them on our website (www.impactdisciples.com/store), and the Impact Discipleship team will be more than happy to assist you in any way we can and answer any questions you may have.

I retired from being a lead pastor in at the end of 2020, but I wish I had known then what I know now. I would have used these materials because they are absolutely biblical, and very simply because they work. Check it out for yourselves. I believe you will find that as you practice being and building disciples the way Jesus did, you will see the ministry you serve expand, become more effective, and experience growth both numerically and most important…spiritually. We at Impact Discipleship Ministries will be anxious to hear your victory stories as you implement these disciple-making strategies.
