Ken Adams became the senior pastor of Crossroads Baptist Church in Newnan, Georgia in 1989. He had a clear vision with very specific spiritual growth goals in mind for his church. After searching the market and not finding adequate training resources to achieve his goals, Ken began writing his own discipleship curriculum for his church to use. Crossroads began using his Impact resources in its small groups in the early 1990’s. His curriculum was so successful in achieving his goals for the church, Adams decided to make his resources available to other churches. Impact Discipleship Ministries, Inc. was founded in 2002.
Since that time, churches across the U.S. and across the globe are actively using Impact’s resources. Adams continues to lead training seminars on the Disciple Making Church strategy, and continues to develop new resources to help churches and individuals develop fully trained disciples of Jesus Christ.
